Columbia 16-Red climbed the ladder at their CEVA Power League Qualifier by going 3-2 for the day and maximizing their chances to advance. The Red ladies are making themselves heard already this season.
Columbia's flagship team 18-Black just missed NW Platinum league, but will be playing in the Gold Division for Power League in February at 7th overall among the 72 teams in U-18.
Back-to-back storms caused a very rare cancellation of an entire weekend of CEVA Power League affecting our 18-Black, 16-Black, 16-Red, and 15-Black teams. An equally rare cancelation in Selah affected 14-Red as well.
Three Columbia teams still hit the road and played on Sunday. Columbia 14-Black (playing short-handed) struggled to get over playing an entire team of boys in their first match and eventually lost a tie-breaker that determined the difference between first and third in their pool. The girls rallied to win five straight matches after that and emerge with the consolation Championship at the 32-team Sideout Classic in Spokane.
Meanwhile, Columbia 12-Black (also playing short-handed) swept their pool to reach the Championship bracket at the Leavenworth Spikefest before finishing 5th of 11 teams overall.
Columbia 15-Red made the longest trip of all, going all the way to the Kimmel Klassic in Coeur d'Alene. The 15-Red girls finished 21st overall after their epic winter drive.
Columbia 18-Black travelled to the Las Vegas Classic over President's Day weekend for the annual recruiting tournament. The 18-Black ladies reeled off three straight wins in the middle of their run through the national level tournament, finishing 113th of 355 U-18 teams overall.

Columbia 16-Red only dropped one set in pursuit of the O-Town Tournament Championship. The Red ladies were a perfect 6-0 in matches for the day to complete their sweep. Great work ladies!
Columbia 15-Red had a tougher day of it, falling in the Consolation quarterfinal.
